2012 Accomplishments

  1. Sponsored recognition of the Colonial Beach Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, and Friends of the Chamber.
  2. Sponsored Colonial Beach Police Officer of the Year Award, recognizing that a community with a low crime rate directly affects its ability to attract new businesses and maintain a safe environment.
  3. Provided a a $500 scholarship to a Colonial Beach High School graduate.
  4. Sponsored the 61st Annual Potomac River Festival
  5. Sponsored the Father’s Day Classic Car Show
  6. Sponsored the 46th Annual Boardwalk Arts & Craft Show.
  7. Sponsored the International Jet Ski Races
  8. Sponsored the Annual Halloween Golf Cart Parade
  9. Sponsored the 18th Annual Rockfish Tournament
  10. Sponsored the Annual Santa’s Wonderland & Winter Festival
  11. Worked with the Town’s Seasonal Tourism Office to promote the town year round.
  12. Coordinated and sponsored publication of the 2012 Colonial Beach Business Directory & Visitors Guide.
  13. Utilized hundreds of volunteers donating thousands of hours to help promote town events and businesses.
  14. Continued enhancement of the Chamber Website, providing many benefits for our members and community.
  15. Helped Chamber Members advertise their events by email, posting of signs and on the Welcome page of the website.
  16. Recruited over 140 Members.
  17. Sponsored July 4th community events on Town Hill.
  18. Co-Sponsored The Potomac River Regional Art Show.
  19. Co-Sponsored the Annual Rod Run to the Beach.
  20. Co-Sponsored the Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
