Potomac River Festival - June 12th & 13th 2021

A time-honored Colonial Beach tradition, the Annual Potomac River Festival includes a Grand Feature Parade, a Pet Parade, a Boat Parade, Music, Food and Craft Vendors, and MORE! Sponsored by the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Father's Day Classic Car Show - June 20th, 2021

A great way to treat Dad to a fun filled Father’s Day! The Town Hill (corner of Colonial Ave. and Washington Ave.) is filled with a vast array of one-of-a-kind cars and trucks. Antique, vintage and customized are all on display awaiting the hard-to-make decision of the judges. Bands play in the background while you cruise around taking them all in. Grab something to eat from the food vendors and do a little shopping for Dad at the vendors stands.

Annual Rod Run - August 7th & 8th, 2021

What is your favorite…hot rods, muscle cars, customized classics?  Whatever it is, you will find them at the Rod Run to the Beach.  Come join us for this 2-day car show held the third weekend in August.  With music in the background and your choice of food and merchandise vendors, you can spend the day admiring all these beauties.  The Town Hill (corner of Colonial Ave. and Washington Ave.) will be packed full all the hard-to-believe creations at this long-standing event. If you are a “gearhead”, this is the place to be!

Beach Water Festival - August 21st & 22nd, 2021

The Water Fest is a fun, family-oriented, 2-day event held on the Colonial Beach Boardwalk.  The Water Fest features a bounce house, a water slide, sand and water games and contests, a story teller and if you are lucky, you might even spot a real-live mermaid!  So… bring the kids and/or grandkids to the Beach for a titillating good time the last weekend of August!

Annual Arts & Crafts - September 4th & 5th, 2021

Over 100 vendors line both sides of the boardwalk for this Colonial Beach tradition. Every type and style of Arts and Crafts is represented at this 2-day event. A shopping destination for home decor, jewelry, wood crafts and any and everything else you could want for yourself or for a special someone.  This event is a regional favorite that is held the first weekend in September every year for over 50 years!

Bike Festival - October 7th through 10th, 2021

This four-day, blow-out Motorcycle event is filled with vendors, bands, bike shows, and more. The streets of downtown Colonial Beach are lined with bikes of every make and model.  The town greets 30,000+ visitors and black leather is the popular fashion statement.   Make your reservations early because our accommodations and restaurants fill up quickly. The Bike Fest is held on Town Hill (corner of Colonial Ave. and Washington Ave.) and on the Boardwalk on the first weekend in October.

Fall Festival - October 23rd, 2021

This fun-filled, family event takes place on Town Hill (corner of Colonial Ave. and Washington Ave.)  It features food and craft vendors, inflatable slides and bounce houses, a scarecrow making station, arts and crafts, games, a fire pit, music, costume contests and more.  The day is capped off with a very, very frightening decorated golf-cart parade!  Watch the scary carts drive “the Point” the Saturday before Halloween.

Rockfish Tourament - November 12th - 14th, 2021

This annual event is classic Colonial Beach.  Friday night is the Captains dinner where tournament rules are reviewed.   Saturday and Sunday are for ROCK FISHING!  Huge cash prizes are awarded with a $5,000.00 first place prize.  Youth Division, Ladies Division, and Special Angler Division are awarded trophies.  Come test your fishing skills…win big money…and take dinner home on this second week in November.   The tournament is located at the Colonial Beach Yacht Center (1787 Castlewood Drive).

Santa's Wonderland & Lighted Boat Parade - December 4th, 2021

Town Hill (corner of Colonial Ave. and Washington Ave.) is decorated with twinkling lights, Christmas trees, elves, snowmen and everything Christmas!  Santa arrives by fire engine to lead the parade and is followed by decorated cars and golf carts, floats, and more.  You will have a holly, jolly good time decorating cookies, making holiday arts and crafts, sitting by the fire pit, listening to Christmas music, shopping and eating at vendor stalls, writing letters to Santa and more!  You can even have your picture taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.  The grand topper to this event is the Lighted Holiday Boat Parade.  Boats of all sizes sail down the Potomac decked out for the season. Everyone…kids and kids-at-heart… delight in this festive beginning of the holiday season.  Santa’s Wonderland and Winter Festival Parade is held the first Saturday of December.

1st Annual Colonial Beach Boat Show - Postponed Until Fall 2021

The Colonial Beach 1st Annual Boat Show will have boats, boating products, marine accessories and marine associated services from dealers around the area.  It will be located on Town Hill, the selection includes fishing boats, cruisers, pontoons, ski doos, deck boats, sport boats and personal watercrafts.  The boat show is a family fun outing whether you intend  on buying or just browsing.    The event will be held Saturday TBD from 9:00am to 5:00 pm and Sunday TBD, from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Town Hill.
